ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR NOVEMBER 8, 2026
The community calendars are in!! People with calendar routes – please pick up your calendars in the narthex if you haven’t already done so. Questions, please see Ron Lutz.
You may pick up a shoebox in the narthex if you would like to fill one for Operation Christmas Child this year. Please make sure that you pick up a label before you turn it in because it has the information on what needs put on the outside of the box. Also, please include your $10 donation for shipping if you are able inside the box before you turn it in. Last day to turn boxes in is next Sunday, November 15th. Thank you!
We still need two volunteers to join our Administrative Council Board for a three-year term beginning in 2027. Please let either our current chairperson, Marcia Abbott, or Pastor Dean know of your interest.
We hope you can join us in the annual Hanging of the Greens on Sunday, November 22nd right after worship service. That evening will also be our Ecumenical Thanksgiving service at 7:00 p.m. at Hopewell Church of God. Our own Pastor Dean will be providing the message.
Please see the letter posted on the narthex bulletin board requesting support for the Good Shepherd Christmas Party.
In lieu of supporting a family this Christmas, we will be collecting donations to provide some much-needed support for First Step Domestic Violence Services. Please see the “Needs List” posted on the narthex bulletin board. Their Coat Drive continues also and any new or gently used coats are much appreciated.
In addition, during the month of November we are accepting non-perishable food donations to be shared with the community. Pastor Dean is reaching out to Hopewell Loudon Schools to see if they have any program in place for student families. If not, these donations will be shared with First Step.
