ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR MARCH 15, 2026

The remaining Ecumenical Lenten schedule is shown below:

• Maundy (Holy) Thursday (April 2nd) at 7:00 pm with Pastor Dean providing the message at Hopewell Church of God. This service includes a Hand-Washing Service for those who wish to participate.
• Good Friday (April 3rd) with a Tenebrae service at St. John’s UCC at 2:00pm. This service concludes with an open table sharing of the elements of Holy Communion.

We will be having another Capital Funds Campaign to replace the depleted funds from our 2018 “Raise the Roof” campaign. After the church and parsonage roofs were installed, the fund had a remaining balance of $13,167.00. $12,685.30 of those funds have been used to pay for repairs, replacements, and ongoing preventive maintenance at the church building and parsonage. Donations raised will be kept separate from our general funds and used exclusively for future church and parsonage upkeep. Please see Pastor Dean or any board member to express your desire to join the team.

Addresses are on the bulletin board for those we are showering with cards to let them know that we are thinking of them.

Please join us in the fellowship hall after worship today for a church potluck. If you forgot to bring something, join us anyway. We always have plenty!

As the first weekend of April is Easter weekend, we have moved our monthly breakfast to the second week of the month. Please join Pastor Dean and the men of the church, for breakfast at the Tiffin Frisch’s @ 9 a.m.

JOYS: Tina Strickland will be baptized next Sunday during our worship service; Carol Reisner appears to have recovered from her pneumonia; Millie and her mom (Morgan Johnson) celebrated their joint birthday with a couple of friends this past Friday; Ann Zimmerman’s esophagoscopy went well this past Friday with results consultation to be in a few weeks; and we have a Heavenly Father that loves us, a Savior that redeems us, and the Holy Spirit that strengthens us.

CONCERNS: Lori Clay has been dealing with upper respiratory congestion for the past couple of weeks and may also have conjunctivitis; Becky Bell continues to work with her medical team after the lab work she had done this past Monday did not indicate a possible cause for her extreme high blood pressure (she has been scheduled for an MRI this coming Friday (the 13th) and will be undergoing a echocardiogram sometime the following week); Juanita Yambert continues to work with her medical team to determine the cause of her sleeping issues plus has an MRI on her right shoulder, a consultation to test for carpal tunnel on her left wrist, and an iron injection scheduled for tomorrow (Monday, March 9th); the family of Beverly Wheatley (Pam & Larry Dunson’s aunt) who passed away on Tuesday, March 3th; Nikki Vitt continues to experience severe sciatic nerve pain in her leg and is awaiting approval to begin pain relief & cortisone shots; Tim Heiserman has a consultation tomorrow with the surgeon in New Albany that performed his hip replacement as well as a separate medical team on Friday the 13th to discuss possible treatment plans for his torn muscles and ligaments in that hip.
