We will have a float in the Bascom Memorial Day Parade today at 2:00 pm to promote our Ecumenical Vacation Bible School. Pastor Dean will be providing the invocation at the 1:15 p.m. ceremony at Sandridge Cemetery.

June-July 2026 newsletters are available today outside the sanctuary and at our website, www.bascomchurch.com.

Thanks to all who helped with the VBS colored pictures. It is much appreciated!

We are in need of some items for VBS: empty spray bottles, one huge oversized goofy play sunglasses and one white twin sized bedsheet you won’t get back. If you can help out, please put these items in the church office. Thank you!

Reminder: we have moved our Ecumenical Vacation Bible School to the week of June 22 – 26 in order to not conflict with 4-H Camp and to participate in an Ecumenical Celebration of Worship at our church on June 28th. Registration of kids and volunteers can be completed on our website, www.bascomchurch.com, or you can pick up a registration form outside the sanctuary and return it to the church office. We still need a couple elementary school age group leaders. Please see Lori Clay or Nick Reinhard if you are able to help out.

Pastor Dean will be on vacation from June 15-21. Nick Reinhard will be providing the message on Sunday, June 21 with Pastor Bob Greene (419-512-7588) of Hopewell Church of God providing pastoral care support.

The next Men’s Breakfast will this coming Saturday, June 6th, at Billy’s Restaurant located at 413 West State Street in Fremont.

Remember to have your VBS colored pictures returned to the church by next Sunday. They can be colored with marker, crayon, colored pen, etc. Thank you!

Please join Pastor Dean and the men of the church, for breakfast at Billy’s Restaurant located at 413 West State Street in Fremont for our June 6th breakfast.

JOYS:  Juanita Yambert’s right shoulder replacement went well this past Tuesday and she is home recuperating; and we have a Heavenly Father that loves us, a Savior that redeems us, and the Holy Spirit that strengthens us.

CONCERNS:  Dotty Devault is at home as she continues to work with her medical team on battling the bronchitis in her right lung (her left lung is now free of bronchitis);  Tom Strickland Sr. is in Wood County Hospital awaiting surgery on Monday after falling and breaking his hip this past Thursday; the family of David “Skippy” Angles who passed away on Friday, May 29th;Leticia Caudill has been denied a kidney transplant and is now undergoing dialysis three times per week; Rev. Bill McDaniel’s condition continues to worsen as a result of Parkinson’s Disease; Brandon Sheets remains in a medically induced coma; and the family of Judy Hossler who recently had a heart attack and underwent bypass surgery this past Friday (May 22nd) after her husband George passed away on May 14th.
